Information Session: Scholarships and Support for ALL Low-income Residents at Prairie State College!

One Million Degrees awards night at Chase Auditorium in Chicago, Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

The Housing Authority of Cook County in conjunction with Prairie State College and South Suburban College bring you One Million Degrees (OMD), a community college student success program that supports scholars on their pathway to a meaningful career. OMD will provide the tools to help you be the best student and leader you can be.

One Million Degrees offers academic tutoring, professional development, personal coaching and financial support via performance-based stipends and enrichment grants totaling up to $1,250 per academic year.

Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be a Housing Authority of Cook County resident or voucher recipient
    • Must be (or plan to be) enrolled at Prairie State College or South Suburban College for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020
    • No previous Associate Degree or higher
    • 2.0 GPA recommended
