Summer Computer Training Program for Housing Authority Youth (Ages 14-19)

The 6-week training program will help you learn about kick-starting a career in the world of computers while earning CompTIA A+ and OSHA 10-hour Safety certifications. This opportunity is only available to youth in Housing Authority households.

Due to high demand, registration has now closed for this opportunity. Make sure to check back in Summer 2020 for next year’s registration.

Summer Youth Employment at the Forest Preserve

Gain hands-on experience by working in the Forest Preserves. Learn about environmental careers & earn over $1000 in the summer of 2020. Check here in April for the 2020 application link, updated deadlines and employment dates.

The Jones Center After School Program

For over 100 years, the Jones Center has provided welcoming and safe programs serving youth ages 5-17 in the Chicago Heights area. Click the link below to learn more about great after school activities  and summer camp programs.

Baseball for kids

Little League in Ford Heights is an active way for kids to have fun and play baseball all summer. Each spring, you can learn more here about scholarships available for Housing Authority residents and voucher holders.
